WHAT IS CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. It is made from hemp that is inherently high in CBD and includes less than 0.3% THC.

CBD has therapeutic benefits, is non-psychoactive, safe and non-addictive.

Used in products like oils, edibles and topicals, CBD provides feelings of relaxation and calm.

WHAT IS THC?

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is one of most common cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. THC binds with receptors in the brain that control pain, moods and other feelings. CBD and THC have the same chemical formula but their chemical properties affect your body differently.

WHAT IS FULL SPECTRUM CBD OIL?

Full spectrum CBD oil is the pure extract of the hemp plant, including active compounds, cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, nutrients and more.

Full spectrum hemp oil is extracted from the hemp plants leaves and flowers.

The cannabinoids and compounds work together with the body to produce a higher pain relief and a better therapeutic experience.

CANNABINOIDS & THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM

Cannabinoids are active chemical compounds found naturally in the seeds, stalk and flowers of cannabis and hemp plants. Cannabinoids regulate how cells communicate, send, receive and process messages.

More than 100 cannabinoids have been identified but the main ones are THC and CBD.

The Endocannabinoid system is one of the body’s largest neurotransmitter networks that balances so many of the body’s functions.

Endocannabinoid receptors regulate: sleep, appetite, pain, inflammation, memory, mood and fertility. These receptors are located throughout the central and peripheral nervous system responsible for regulating our body’s communication between cells, keeping internal processes stable, and maintaining daily health and wellness.

The two main receptors are CB1and CB2 which control the interactions between cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system.

CB1 (“cannabinoid receptor type 1” ) are in the brain, central nervous system, lungs, liver and kidneys. CB1 receptor controls the timing and recurrence of the release of neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine.  CB2 (“cannabinoid receptor type 2” ) are associated with anti-inflammatory effects within the immune system.

Phytocannabinoids are plant derived cannabinoids naturally occurring and concentrated in the oil resin of the cannabis or hemp leaves and buds.

Phytocannabinoids activate the Endocannabinoids system by binding to cannabinoid receptors creating a wide range of medical and therapeutic benefits such as reducing pain, anxiety and inflammation.

When the body creates endocannabinoid neurotransmitters, they are picked up by specialized cannabinoid receptors maintaining physiological balance at a cellular level, promoting health.
